Portrait of Captain, Unknown Connecticut River Valley Militia in Vista

The seated officer holding a sword wears a Masonic pin and is positioned before a window… in the distance are troops and musicians in formation. Many units wore similar uniforms during the mid-1820’s. The red Morocco leather belting helps narrow it down… anyhow, captain of Connecticut River Valley Militia.
