The three-quarter length portrait of boy is shown in landscape against a blue shy with a large book under his arm.
Written in pencil on the stretcher: “Bought in Boston / 1961 / by Frank Fay III“
Measurement: Frame: 16.25" x 14.5"; View: 12" x 9.75"
Material: Oil on canvas
Item Condition: Original stretcher, appears to never have been cleaned, mounted in a period gilt frame that may be original; a tiny trivial puncture was repaired many, many years ago. Would benefit from a cleaning which we are able to facilitate.
