Pennsylvania Inlaid Chest on Frame Raised on Bandy Legs, Trifid Feet

This extremely narrow well developed chest features a robust applied cornice molding above a band of dental molding inlay…above the case containing three-over-two-over-four cockbeaded and string inlaid drawers – flanked by chamfered outside corners featuring top-and-bottom lambs’ tongue carved terminuses. The chest is raised on a molded base [frame] with scalloped aprons joining bandy legs resting on trifid feet. The aprons are inlaid with eight pointed stars. A great example.
