New England, Federal, Painted Dial
A paint decorated tall case clock, the hood with scrolled swans neck cresting and glazed tombstone front; wooden gilt and polychrome dial featuring spread wing eagle over roiling clouds, floral spandrels and 30-hour pull-up wooden movement. The waist door flanked by quarter-columns on base with cutout feet, original painted surface resembling exotic woods and inlays.
