New England, Likely Paris Manufacturing of South Paris, Maine

Please click on images to expand.
Bright red ground with hand-painted imagery including brown horse head (white blaze, detailed mane, expressive eye) surrounded by yellow scrollwork/flourishes. Black pinstriping and decorative lines across the board; owners initials in gold. Rare turned spindles with brass finials, low-profile wooden runners with iron shoes.
The horse motif with yellow decorative elements is particularly nice. Very similar to documented Paris examples (some labeled “Horse Head” or with comparable scrollwork). The overall construction, colors, and decoration strongly suggest Paris Mfg. Co. or a very close contemporary Maine maker.
