A poplar sled ornamented with yellow painted “A.B. SAWYER” on the seat, yellow and black pinstriping, and scrolling. The underside signed in pencil several times with Sawyer’s name and other script.

Item Date: 19th Century

Measurement: Height: 3.75"; length: 28"; width: 12.5"

Item Condition: Dry red paint; carved cleat affixed with three screws was added to the underside early in the sleds working life, guaranteeing that a tight crack didn’t grow.
