Asenath Ludden (c. 1810–1832)

There are two neatly compartmentalized alphabets above a bane featuring a twin chimney house, trees, birds, a pot issuing flowers; a sprig of strawberries, and a quadruped. A most curious detail is the printed fine linen selvedge of which we have never encountered.
There is much genealogical information to be researched by an ambitious owner with time. There is an especially promising primary source: the surviving Records of the Church of Christ in Williamsburg, 1804–1839. The searchable index contains 21 references to the surname Ludden. We have some provenance including recent Ludden family ownership by direct decent [Maria Ludden Hubbard was Bill Hubbard’s (Well-known Western Massachusetts auctioneer) wife.
