Wrought by Eunice D. (Dolly) Delano (b. October 21, 1809, Williamstown, VT) at age 13. Eunice married Calvin Flint – December 6, 1833, in Brookfield, Vermont…their union produced six children; she died on February 11, 1890, in her hometown of Williamstown, Vermont. She is buried in the Williamstown Village Cemetery.
This sampler displays three alphabets, numerals, and the maker’s identifying lines… all neatly compartmentalized and within a border.
The bottom margin features a two story house with a red roof and twin chimneys flanked by trees; on the left is a girl wearing a blue dress, holding a large flower and flanked by a large flowering plant; on the far right is a large basket of flowers.
