Probably Herculaneum Pottery, Liverpool, England

Printed on the right side with a portrait of Washington surrounded by the female figures ‘Justice,’ ‘Liberty’ and ‘Victory.’ Above Washington’s head a cherub holds a circlet of stars centering WASHINGTON and issuing light rays…above which is the Great Seal of the United States within a ribbon scroll displaying the names of fifteen states and fifteen stars. The left side features Peace destroying the implements of war with Plenty on the left holding her cornucopia…in the center is the circular panel and verse surmounted by American flag, cannon, and spread winged eagle. Inscribed under the spout are the initials “R L” in foliate script and within a floral wreath tied with bowknot, above the Great Seal of the United States.

Item Condition: Excellent, a single, very small chip to foot was colored, else fine.
