Fireman’s Ceremonial Parade Hat, Washington 1796, P. B. B. JR.

This pressed felt example, now oxidized to a buff/beige color is inscribed “Washington, 1796” in ornate gilt lettering featuring red and black silhouetting, the top displays owner’s initials “P.B.B., Jr.”. The owner’s initials are done in gold with black silhouetting; the back features a large number “14” painted in the same highly stylized fancy font and color palette as the front. The underside of the brim and rolled edge is painted red.

Item Condition: There are a few minor scattered repairs to brim and edge of crown that do not distract, call or email to discuss.
