This is a beautiful half size long neck mallet bottle of wonderful form. The seal is of three lions rampant, two over one.
Item Date: Circa 1735 - 1740
Measurement: Height: 6 7/8"; Diameter: 4 3/8"
Material: Bottle glass
Item Condition: Repaired chip to the mouth and string rim. Tiny burst bubble on surface of body. Otherwise, mint. No star cracks or other damage.
Literature: See David Burton: English Sealed Bottles and the families who owned them (2015) page 1469 for notation of another example in the Winterthur Collection. The original family has not been identified.
