Original Surface History, New England
A competently constructed case containing a dovetail joined drawer retaining original turned wood pull. The piece displays an accumulated surface history. The Eastlake style painted ornamentation [likely 1870 ish] was applied over original salmon paint then over varnished… now highly oxidized and therefore darkened.
