Joseph Downe was born December 14, 1773, at Worcester, Massachusetts; died November 8, 1852. His wife, Polly Thurlo, was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, January 8, 1772; she died in 1841. The couple was married on December 11, 1798.
The work is neatly compartmentalized and clean, colors are bright, no staining.
