A superb nine-drawer chest showcasing particularly bold and rhythmic tiger maple figure, with strong vertical striping carried consistently across the drawer fronts. The upper section is composed of three short drawers beneath a molded crown, above six long, graduated drawers, all with thumb-molded overhanging lips. The case rests on a molded base and is raised on applied bracket feet. The surface retains a rich, even tone that enhances the natural brilliance of the figuring, exemplifying the refinement and craftsmanship associated with Southeastern Massachusetts Chippendale furniture.
