The desk displays nice proportions; fall-front opens to reveal a prospect section featuring raised tombstone paneled door behind which are four drawers concealing hidden drawers… flanked by document drawers. The interior contains cubbies with shaped dividers over a total of 8 serpentine drawers [four on each side]. Rather than the usual lopers the lid is supported by a pair of candle drawers. The case having molded base contains four graduated thumb-molded drawers and is raised on outstanding ogee feet.

Item Condition: The desk displays well; any imperfections are trivial and commensurate with age and use. Lid hinges have been reset; brasses are not original; drawers have been drilled for several sets of hardware.
