A turned oak Carver-type chair, probably New England, with rush seat, on turned legs joined by triple box stretcher, the turned stiles centering a turned horizontal bar above a splat with four rived and turned spindles between horizontal cross rails.

Measurement: Height: 34.25"; Seat Height: 17.5"; Width: 15"; Depth: 18.75", Front Posts: 1 7/8ā€, Rear Posts: 1 5/8ā€

Material: Oak, maple

Item Condition: Generally good considering age and use. The proper left side seat rail may be an early 20th century replacement; loss, as depicted, to proper left front foot. It appears that ā€œLā€ shape brackets were removed from under seat rails. The chair displays old color and is functional.
