The front print features a sprig issuing thistles, leafy branches, and a scratch-carved starburst at 12 o’clock all within a zigzag border. On the reverse, an ornamentally carved hub-like flat handle displaying a deeply and crisply carved five point star within a square border with spandrels centered by four stars, and alternating sprigs. Anchoring the composition is the date “1895” …all within a conforming sawtooth border.
