An Early Handheld Candle Dip, Original Blue Paint

An Early Handheld Candle Dip, Original Blue Paint

Making candles was a laborious task, especially hand dipping, therefore these dippers which today are exceedingly rare were a welcomed aid. This example with 36 clinched wire hangers features a beautifully aged surface; the turned handle is nearly void of paint. This is an exceedingly rare object of which very few are extant.
