Mid-19th century Cardiganshire example featuring straight chamfered jaws with shaped terminus an integral counterweighted candle socket which is tabbed to grease pan Supported on a tripod base with small penny feet and retaining its original riveted pivot. The square stem transitions to a chamfered section reverting to square form is peened through the base, displaying sound hand-forged construction and an excellent untouched period surface.
