The weathervane was discovered in Stanton, Michigan, in the same barn it was previously made for, and was mounted on. It is a strong expression of the work ethic of the Midwest, like that represented by Grant Wood’s iconic painting, American Gothic.

Measurement: 51" x 58"

Material: Retains spherical [apple] finial, and its original; as descended surface.

Provenance: Found in a barn in Stanton, Michigan; Doug Wyant Antiques, Cassopolis, Michigan; Walters-Benisek Antiques, Northampton, Massachusetts; Ex-collection, David Good.
