A Small Queen Anne Drop-Leaf Table Featuring Very Early Red Paint

This table is new to the market and has been examined by Rhode Island furniture expert Patricia Kane who will be posting it on the Rhode Island Furniture Archive; Yale University Art Gallery webpage.

Item Date: Circa 1760-1780

Measurement: Height: 25.25"; top open: 32.5" x 32"; top down: 32.5" x 10.75"

Material: Maple, Northeastern white pine, and chestnut battens.

Item Condition: Good…commensurate with age and use; as depicted minor losses to rule joint; shrinkage crack to leaf of which the integrity was assured during the eighteenth century by installing four battens [to underside] as shown. The red paint is likely 18th or very early 19th century. Please know that we can have the water rings professionally blended.
