A fine and clean example after the French Charleville models; regulation full walnut stock with recessed cheek-piece and all furniture in bright finish. All steel furniture is regulation; breech tang, pan screw; lock screw, bayonet and the cock all marked "18." The lock plate is signed ST. BLASIEN and shows a mark between the brass pan and cock; star over "S" within a shield. The action is tight and smooth. This .56-caliber smooth-bore barrel measures 26-inches in length and is clean; overall; length: 40.25", length of bayonet: 14". A very nice example.

Date: Circa 1800
