Three-gallon, round wood container. Staves canted inward. Wire bail with turned wood handle, three iron bands (painted black), metal spigot. Painted red with black stenciled lettering. On top: "IMPERVIOUS SAFETY OIL CAN. / MANUF'D BY / THE / Impervious Package Co. / KEENE. N. H. / PAT'D DEC. 10, 1876 / MAY 25, 1880 / JUNE 15, 1886 / 5 / GALLONS". On front: "KEROSENE / OIL", with three small, stenciled designs.
