Staffordshire Jug, Large Pitcher, Masonic Symbols & Motto, Purple Transfer, 1800-1815

Enamel decorated, and purple transferware printed Masonic presentation jug / pitcher. Painted under the spout with the foliate script initials "SB" in black enamel and printed on either side with allegorical figures and Masonic symbols, beneath a banner inscribed "MASONRY UNIVERSAL" and above the poem "The World is in Pain...," all within scattered blue enamel floral sprays and sprigs.
