One of only three extant pieces of stoneware referencing Lincoln.
Attributed to George W. Farrar, of the Farrar Family, New York, Vermont and St. John, Quebec, Canada - St. Johns Stoneware

A unique cobalt decorated stoneware jug impressed "S . Johns Stoneware" under spout; it appears that individual stamp dies were used with the maker forgetting to stamp the "t" to create an abbreviated "Saint" [ST.].

Lyman Stone (1800 - 1870) is listed in the 1850 census as a blacksmith in Waterbury, Vermont. He served as Division Superintendent on the Central Vermont Railroad.

One of only three extant pieces of stoneware referencing Lincoln.
