Marquetry Table, Early Edwardian Fern, or Plant Stand

Marquetry Table, Early Edwardian Fern, or Plant Stand, Image 1

A forgotten artistic expression, male quilting, an apt definition on a basic level, applying bits and pieces of wood [marquetry] rather than scraps of cloth used to create quilts. Quilting and marquetry both fill flat surfaces with patterns.

A successful design displaying symmetry, exuberant top, apron and stepped circular base display workmanship of a craftsman of great patience.
