Material: Pine

Additional Information: Cooper made, one stave shaped and carved for
carrying: five lapped bands and best dry red paint. Sweet! Branded within
the interior and underside is found: “J.S. Barrows” who may have
been a Maine cooper.

Material: Wood staves, iron bands, paint

Condition: Staves are tight, retains spigot, trivial imperfects as depicted

Additional Information: Three-gallon, round wood container. Staves canted inward.
Wire bail with turned wood handle, three iron bands (painted black), metal spigot.
Painted red with black stenciled lettering. On top: "IMPERVIOUS SAFETY OIL CAN. /
MANUF'D BY / THE / Impervious Package Co. / KEENE. N. H. / PAT'D DEC. 10, 1876 /
MAY 25, 1880 / JUNE 15, 1886 / 5 / GALLONS". On front: "KEROSENE / OIL", with
three small, stenciled designs.

Measurement: Height: 3.5"; diameter: 4.5"

Material: Pine staves and bottom, wire bail handle and diamond shaped bail plates,
Stain, and paint

Additional Information: Stave and iron band construction, staves joined with V-shaped
tongue-and-groove joints, hardwood handle. The circumference, near base, displays a
narrow band of red stenciled; near the top on opposite sides is stenciled “GIFT”.
