Additional Information: A pair of elaborately decorated jars depicting a merchant
and slave with cargo ship in background…all within a festooned oval
lozenge tied with bowknot. The bottom of each jar marked “BP” for the
De Blompot workshop; each jar retaining brass lid.

Material: Tin glazed earthenware, polychrome
Condition: Scattered rim frittering [loss of glaze] trivial little chips
to base of foot; else original. Displays well.
Additional Information: A large steep-sided tapering toward a rounded bottom
raised on a tall, recessed foot rim. The interior displays blue painted
date 1736 surmounted with floral spray…the interior sides with scrolled
ornament and other simple devices. The exterior features a Chinese
garden scene painted in red, blue, green, and yellow.

Condition: Displays beautifully, was broken in several pieces…expertly restored.
Additional Information: King William lll delftware charger, a commemorative piece
showing King William at the time he and his wife, Queen Mary, were installed as the
king and queen of England in 1688 [his reign ended in 1702]. The so-called blue dash
chargers we popular during the late seventeenth century and were not made in the
eighteenth century.

17th Century Delft Wine Bottle, Sack
London, Probably Southwark, Dated 1651 - SOLD
A very fine and rare small white tin glazed earthenware Sack Bottle. Beautifully potted
featuring handle with tapering lower terminal; slightly domed bottom; inscribed
“SACK/1651” over a paraph. Rare small size; outstanding. Standard size bottles are
about 6.5" high. This one is only 5" high. These bottles are thought to have been
vessels used as Christmas gifts and were popular in the 1640s to the 1660s, during the
English Civil War and Commonwealth periods.
