English Flintlock Pistol with Hallmarked Silver Mounts
The pistol is almost 19.5-inches overall length; 13.25-inch round to octagon barrel, .65 caliber...

The gun is full stock with hallmarked silver mountings; Knubley on lock, London on barrel and hallmarks on trigger guard and butt cap tangs. The trigger guard has an acorn finial and there is a pointed oval thumb piece; one piece pierced side plate with stand of arms. The lock, barrel and all silver mountings except ferrules are engraved with crescent moons and stars; thumb piece is floral engraved. The entire stock is covered in silver and brass or gold wire with small silver or pewter inlays giving the appearance of buds or leaves on the wire floral scrolls. The hallmarks are: king facing right, anchor, small 'h', lion and I-F in a border. It is full stocked to the muzzle with a silver nose cap.
