Silver Knife and Fork Set
In a Leather and Brass Bound Case

A very ornate sterling knife and fork in a personal travel case. Both are fully hallmarked. The hallmark indicates they were made by Martin, Hall & Co. of Sheffield, circa 1877-1878. Both feature cast and bright cut decoration and a gold wash, which shows some light wear. The leather on the case has noticeable wear around the edges and the purple silk on the interior of the cover shows some tears caused by age. This is a wonderful example of Victorian silver.
Dimensions: 12.25-inch case length, 8.25-inch fork length, 11.375-inch knife length.
