A pharmacy jar Cylindrical form, narrower at the middle than at the top or bottom,
making it easy to grip. Decorated with scrolling foliage within banded borders; yellow,
light green and blue reserved on a dark-blue ground. Very good original condition with a
couple minor dings to the foot that appear to be in-the-making.

A rare and large pear shape with finial raised on spreading circular base…the form inspired by metal casters. The underside pierced to receive sugar candy that had been finely ground in a mortar, which resulted in a coarser sugar than we are used to today.(Height: 8.25”)
