Approximately 14" by 7" by 8" overall, top box approximately 11.5" by 3" by 6". Stepped Glove box / dresser box painted brown with 3 reverse painting on glass inserts (one cracked), two on the top box, one on the bottom drawer, the inserts are held in place with ebonized beading, the 2 wood knobs on the drawer are also ebonized, top box has lid and is lined with wallpaper and has cove molding joining it to bottom box. Overall very good condition with usual wear on paint particularly on the right corner of the lid, the drawer has a hole drilled where a lock was apparently planned but never added.

The overhanging top with fielded carved panel retains original wrought iron handle and is mounted on strap hinges; dovetailed case with similar panels features a pair of lidded tills and is raised on projecting molding resting on compressed-ball feet. Outstanding original condition, best patina.
(Dimensions: 8.25" H, 12.5" W, 8.5" D.)
