A highly detailed plan of London, showing points of interest; Hyde Park Corner, Sadler's Wells, Mile End Road and Lambeth. Three large cartouches contain the title, the City Arms, and a dedication to George Thorold, the Lord Mayor, 1719-1720.
(Sir George Thorold, 1st Baronet (circa 1666 - 29 October 1722) of Harmstrom, Lincolnshire, was a leading London merchant- ironmonger)

The map's title is at top center in ornamental cartouche, surrounded by cherubs, fruits and mythological figures. A dedication to Sir George Thorold, Lord Mayor of London appears at top right, facing the city arms at top left. A compass star is depicted at middle right and a scale bar at bottom right.
