The two-stage round to octagonal rod standard is secured to the base by a large nut.
The standard features an incised barrel shape knop at faceted to round transition; stem continues to an applied, file notched and peened finial. The stem is raised on an arched tripod base resting on arrow feet. The stand features a candle socket having a sawtooth edge within a dished grease pan, and a rush jaw on a boxed spring frame. The entire stand displays an even plumb brown color. (a one-inch section of grease pan rim is missing... doesn�t distract.
