Kentucky Style Pistol, All Iron Furniture, Likely Southern, Circa 1840s - SOLD


Straight grain walnut stock in old surface; couple ancient repairs at muzzle that do not show unless you know of their existence. The 10”, .40-caliber octagonal barrel has a nickel silver and brass front site and a notched rear site. The barrel displays a mottled black, brown and gun metal gray surface; trigger guard and rammer pipe display the same color; lock by Maslin is in dark surface. The lock is signed "M.M. MASLIN/ WARRANTED", Michael M. Maslin was a lock maker active in Baltimore and Philadelphia circa 1822-1847. Mechanically smooth and tight. Overall length is 15.5”.
