A .41-caliber percussion derringer with a 2” barrel; overall length is 5.5”

Scarce Hyde and Goodrich Marked Henry Deringer Pistol…blade front and notched rear
sight, with zig-zag engraving centering the "P" on the left side of the breech,
"DERINGER over PHILADELA'' on flat of breech and “Mand For “HYDE & GOODRICH
AGENTS, N.O.” on the barrel. Repeated on the lock, with scroll engraving is the
“DERINGER over PHILADELA” mark; scroll engraved tang, hammer and lock. German
silver accent pates, escutcheons, teardrop buttplate and triangle forend cap, trigger
guard is scroll engraved and features pineapple finial and long tang. The checkered grip
is inlayed with silver shield having no inscription. The barrel and breech display a
smooth brown finish fading to gray; lock plate is a dark brown; mechanically fine.
