Scalloped back featuring shelves, plate rails and pegs above lower case; three
graduated drawers flanked by recessed panel doors…the whole raised on molded base
resting bun feet. Bittersweet paint with black trim over a green primer. Original condition
including turned pulls; as depicted, paint loss to one door…minor flaking.

Measurement: Height: 6.75"; width: 6.5"; depth: 3"

Material: Walnut and pine

Condition: Very good, original brass hardware, red stained surface

Additional Information: Rare John Bubb dolls house desk…scratch-beaded lid opens
to rest on lopers revealing interior featuring five cubbies above a pair of short drawers.
Interior writing surface retains tooled calf leather with gold border. Case housing three
drawers on molded base raised on bracket feet. Underside displays makers impressed
mark: “J – BUBB – MAKER”. John Bubb of Southwark, London was a toy and cabinet
maker.
