Antique Whirligigs, Pair of Figures, Paint Decorated, angle views

Measurement: Each 31.5” overall height

Material: Hard pine, sheet iron, and polychrome

Condition: Very good original condition commensurate with age and use, weathered
thinning paint, one figure missing hat.

Included: Pair of custom fabricated display risers; double tapered sides, one standing
at 36-inches, the other at 41-inches…the disparity of heigh created a greater visual
while the figures work in concert producing a unified aesthetic.

Measurement: Height: 20" measured on 4” block of wood; width: 19"; depth: 9.75"

Material: Iron, sheet iron and wood

Condition: Very good

Additional Information: Wind turns propeller and crankshaft causing the man to
seemingly work hard cranking shaft. Vertical framing blooks [wood] display original sage
green paint; gentleman’s body painted red; head/face painted black…his remining hair
looks to be rubber. The maker incorporated early auto parts and used beads and
pinheads for coat buttons, eyes, and nose…mouth is carved.
