Additional Information: This appears to be a student’s friendship/souvenir book
containing 160+ entries. Pressed flower arrangement, outstanding watercolors, a silk
embroidery, and verse…most dated [1795-1797] and signed noting individual authors
location of home, Amsterdam, Delft, Maastricht and more. The scrip, all handwritten in
Dutch, French, and English…the last pages contain a ledger/index noting pages of entry
and by whom. (incomplete) Columns titled in Italian “Pagina” simply translating to page.
Perhaps an international student’s souvenir book awaiting a new owner’s willingness to
translate.
