Tin Cupola Bank
Vermont Novelty Works, 1869
By J. & E. Stevens, 1872



The bank retains its original paint.

1860's Jenny Lind China Head Doll with Cloth Body
And rare wooden lower arms with scoop hands and wooden legs with original feet



China Head black lights perfectly, and has been on this body for over 100 years. The wooden bodies are more commonly found on dolls of the 1830s-50s, making this a transitional match. Head had desirable pink tint, blue eyes, pull back hair with bun in back and a most wonderful complexion. Dressed in a 1860s/70's era dress, possibly original to the doll. Overall, an uncommon doll in excellent condition. Measures 19.25-inches in height.

Lion and Monkeys Mechanical Bank

Kyser & Rex mechanical bank with a lion and two monkeys. The lion, monkeys, and base retain considerable original paint. The bank still has its key and is still in working condition. The trap door is a little loose, noted for accuracy. Measures 8.5-inches in height and 9.5-inches in length.

A working J & E Stevens Artillery Bank with a round trap. There is slight wear on paint. Measures 5.5-inches in height by 7.5-inches in length.

Large Camp Size Copper Coffee Kettle



Large copper coffee kettle with iron swing handle with wood grip on top. The kettle also has two copper handles on the back and a large spout with a strainer. The flat lid also has a handle on it. There are small dents throughout the kettle, and a large dent near the bottom; it appears to have been hit by birdshot from a distance, though there has been no penetration. A nice looking county piece. Measures 15.5-inches in height, and 12-inches in base diameter.

A pair of pressed, flint, sauce dishes with acorn and plume pattern. The dishes are scratched along inside edge, and one is chipped on the edge, which is noted for accuracy.

Eleven Bellflower Sauces with Scalloped Rims

Circa 1860's



A group of pressed, flint sauce dishes. Two of the dishes have alternating large and small scallops and floral base; two have a scalloped rim and floral base; and the remaining seven have a scalloped rim and rayed base. There are some fleabites on the rims, noted for accuracy. Each of the sauces measure 4-inches in diameter.

A chromolithograph titled "Blonde & Brunette" by Colton, Zahm & Roberts of NYC, with a label on the reverse. The frame has a portion of the original label. The lithograph is toned but otherwise in very good condition, and the frame is in very good condition as well. The frame measures 21.25 by 17.75-inches, while the view area measures 16.25 by 12.5-inches.

Rocking Horse on Glider
With Hair Mane and Tail



Glider rocking horse on a red wooden frame. The dapple-gray horse has a leather saddle and tack, and a hair mane and tail. There are some breaks in the leather, some paint scratches, one rail has fallen out, and the saddle may be a replacement. All of these are noted for accuracy. Measures 26-inches in height, 32-inches in length and 13-inches in width.

Oval Pastel Portrait of a Young Girl
Early 19th Century



Beautifully executed pastel portrait of a young girl with no frame. The portrait is mounted on an oval board with blue backing paper. The portrait is probably English. There is some mildew and some water spots, noted for accuracy. Measures 18.5-inches in height and 15-inches in width.

Sampler embroidered on linen. The sampler has upper and lower case alphabets, numbers and geometric borders. The sampler is faded, but has no tears. The frame measures 18-inches by 8.75-inches, and the view area measures 17-inches by 7.75-inches.

Miniature Empire style chair with scrolled arms. The back has an MOP inlay and marquetry, and the embroidered seat cushion has two terriers decoration. The chair remains in overall good condition. Measures 13.5-inches in overall height, 9-inches in width and 5.25-inches in depth.

Chromolithograph of Little Girls and Doll Parade



Brilliantly colored chromolithograph depicting one girl leading a parade of beautiful porcelain dolls while another plays the piano. Though not examined out of the frame, the lithograph remains in very good condition. The frame is in good condition with a few chips noted for accuracy. The frame measures 26.75 by 22.75-inches, and the view area (within the mat) measures 18.5 by 14.75-inches.
