European Pinfire Revolver
With Belgian Proofs



This lightly engraved revolver has a 7 mm, 3.5-inch barrel and checkered ebony grips. About 25% of the original blue remains, almost all of which is on the cylinder. Overall length: 7.375-inches.

Colt 1860 Army 6-cavity Gang Mold



These molds were supplied at the rate of one mold for every 50 revolvers.
The right block is stamped "44 H" on the side, and both handles show an "H" stamp. The right brass ferrule is stamped "80", and there is a small "D" stamped underneath the left handle. No finish remains on the metal, just scattered brown spotting.
Dimensions: 13-inches long.

This piece is serial number 2V, and is a variation with the firing pin pinned to the frame (left & right). No traces remain of silver on the frame or blue on the barrel.

Johnson US Model 1836 Pistol, Original Flintlock



Dated on lock 1839 with one cartouche highly visible, the other is very faint. Replaced screw in frizzen spring. The gun is used but reasonably well cared for.

Small British Pocket Pistol



British proofed single shot pocket percussion pistol with screw barrel. No maker's name appears, but there are Birmingham proof marks under the barrel. The gun also shows a folding trigger and a nicely checkered bag-shaped grip, which has a silver initial plate inlet. There is light scroll engraving on the iron frame. Strong traces of blue case coloring and barrel striping remain with no metal disturbance. The barrel is very tight and has not been unscrewed recently. The gun measures 4 ¾-inches overall.

J&W Richards Over/Under Flint Pistol
London
Circa 1760



This Richards, LONDON Over/Under tap action flintlock pistol is .45 caliber with 2 7/8-inch barrels. This high quality example is all iron except wood slab-sided grips. There is no engraving except an elegant double border outlining all flats.

"J" is probably John Richards 1760-1821. "W" could be a William Richards.

Massachusetts Militia Musket

Light weight cherry stock with checkered wrist



An outstanding example of a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Militia Musket.
As depicted, full stock with 3-thimbles; iron rod is threaded for attachments; bayonet lug under the .69 caliber, 39.25-inch round barrel which is mostly plumb-brown fading to smoky gray. Retaining original London flintlock, iron trigger and trigger plate; all brass furniture...original wood has great color and patina. N. French stamped on brass side plate. Proof marks on the barrel "PM 1836 T.F." (Thomas French, Canton, 1836, Proof Massachusetts). Strong clear markings in all places.

Springfield Model 1869
Cadet Rifle - SOLD



Caliber: 50/70.
Serial number 214 marked twice on barrel with the first 300 units issued to the US Military Academy at West Point; 29-5/8-inch round barrel. Standard Springfield markings on beveled lockplate, which is dated 1863. Breechblock is marked "1870 / eagle head over crossed arrows / US". Very good condition; mechanically excellent.. Metal is mostly smoky gray-plum-brown fading to gray; wood is fine; no cartouche evident. The trigger guard was retrofitted by Bannerman or Springfield Armory as most were; original cadets had no swing swivel.

Blunderbuss with Spring Bayonet

British blunderbuss with a 14.5-inch brass barrel with brass gilding. "Henshaw" is engraved on the lockplate. The lock has a swan neck cock and a sliding safety on lockplate. The rammer appears to be original, and has a horn tip. The brass trigger-guard has an acorn forend and a long tang. Fine raised carved drapery at the tang, and the furniture is brass and is line engraved, as is the lockplate. The gun has had a very fine wrist repair during its period of use.

Smith & Wesson 1 1/2 New Model Revolver
Engraved with nickel finish and rosewood grips...
Assembly Number 8K- All Matching



S&W wanted, designed and manufactured a more powerful .32-caliber rimfire in a smaller "pocket" size revolver...the five shot .32 rimfire with a shorter 3.5-inch barrel. Whereas they already had the small Model 1 and the large Model 2, and with the new model being in between the previous sizes, they coined the awkward name...Model One and a Half.

This piece is engraved with large flowers on barrel and frame; foliage on the cylinder. The barrel and frame have 98% nickel, the cylinder has 20% nickel, the hammer, cylinder stop and ejector rod are 80% nickel.

As depicted, standard model stamped vertically on rear of lockplate USN over 1844; flat lockplate fitted flush to stock. Smooth bore .54-caliber; 6-inch barrel; retains original swivel type steel ramrod with button head; single brass barrel-band retaining it's pin; flat round brass butt cap inset. Stock with inspector's mark, "JL"; wood has nice patina and is generally excellent with only minor wear. Barrel is bright; lockplate is smoky gray...tight action.
