A plated brass heart shaped snuff box lid, engraved with the image of a horse throwing a rider over the word "HUNTING". The words "F. KEMP - HULL" are also engraved at the top.

Profile portrait of Barrent/Barent Greavey, pencil portrait on laid paper, paper is toned with some foxing, writing on reverse is visible. There are two old stickers on the paper inscribed in ink. The top one reads, "See the very old book of records in shorter blue chest. The second reads "The 11 October 1842 Barrent/Barent/Barret Greavey's profile was taken - [This in his writing on the back of the portrait.] / Barrent/Barent/Barret Greavey died the 3rd of August 1843.] [This in Grandfather Greavey's writing on the back of the portrait.] / Born 1793 / ...portrait is not mounted.....remains..."

With Green and Brown Slip Decoration
Nineteenth Century



Hand thrown, applied handle, redware body, overall cream color glaze with green and brown slip decoration, and incised decoration around top. Typical glaze losses from use around rim and handle and interior, no cracks or pottery chips.
(Approximately 5-inches high.)

Approximately 3.5 inches overall height. The pot is in excellent condition; cover has some small chips near spoon opening.

Inlaid Music Box
Sublime Harmony
Swiss, circa 1850-1900



This Sublime Harmony music box has a grain painted case and a rosewood lid with inlaid musical instruments. The cylinder measures 8-inches in length, and the black interior has a glass dust cover, although there is no label. The box plays several airs and is marked "Switzerland" on bottom. There is some expected scuffing on the case and a little wear along edge of lid, and otherwise remains in very good physical condition and very good running condition. Measures 17.25-inches in width, 8.25-inches in depth and 5.5-inches in height.
