Both portraits are in fine, conserved condition, backed with acid-free board, and retain some of the original local newspaper backing. There is restoration to a tear in the upper left corner of the background of the man's painting, which is noted for accuracy. The woman's frame measures 29 by 25.25-inches, and the view area measures 23.5 by 19.75-inches; the man's frame measures 28.5 by 24.75-inches, and the view area measures 23 by 19-inches.

This example of Windsor seating remains in fine condition including the desirable early green paint. A comfortable and functional chair of successful form and good proportions having out-swept shaped handholds above the turned stiles. The nicely shaped generously proportioned carved and incised seat is raised on turned legs joined by the "H" stretcher. (Height: 36 inches; Seat Height: 16.5 inches; Width: 20.5 inches; Depth: 16.25 inches.)

The generously overhanging shaped top above a conforming apron with single drawer having scratch-molded detail and retaining brass pull. This lovely country form raised on tall delicate double-tapered legs. About full coverage red resin stain; top is pinned as are legs...nice patina and surface quality. Height: 27.5 inches; Top: 19 by 15.25 inches.
