Standard musket with 27-inch round barrel, square base front sight. Walnut with 3/4-length forearm and straight stock with brass musket butt-plate with trap; three bands; middle band has a sling loop with corresponding loop on the butt-stock. Very good mechanical condition; barrel with a medium modeled brown faded to gray patina. Receiver has rounded edges and typical small light nicks and scratches, otherwise a nice medium mustard patina. Wood is sound; cleaned sometime ago...nice grain and patina. Strong bright bore with a few spots of pitting. Barrel marked Winchester...New Haven & King's Patent w/ "1 - 1000c" between rear sight and frame.
Included with the musket is a matching bayonet, which measures 17.75-inches in overall length and 15.5-inches in blade length.
