There is some minor restoration to the portrait, which is noted for accuracy. The frame measures 27 by 34.5-inches, while the view area measures 20 by 27.25-inches.

Wrought Iron Floor Candle-Stand

The urn-like final on compressed ball above knop "raised up" and turned as part of the shaft raised on cyma-form legs terminated by large round feet. The single brass tulip-form candle socket on brass bobeche mounted on adjustable bracket. Great color and fine original condition. (58.25-inches.)

The carved yoke on top rail joined by plain tapered stiles centered by the graceful spooned splat with carved ears above the rounded compass seat above bold block and turned legs ending in turned pad feet; tops of feet end with a collar. The exuberant ball and ring front stretcher is complimented by bulbously turned side and rear stretchers; side stretchers with central groves, ridges and slightly tapered ends; rear stretcher does not have turnings at ends. The chair is in a nice old, possibly original surface. (Height: 39.75 inches; seat height: 17.75 inches; width: 19.5 inches; depth: 15.5 inches.)
