Shield back armchair with molded double tapered legs and a competently molded and inlaid back. The surface is terrific as is the overall condition.
Margaret Quackenbush's Canvaswork Fan
Circa 1760
Margaret Quackenbush worked this oversize fireplace fan using the popular Irish stitch pattern with wool over canvas. The fan is representative of the best American needlework, the foundation of a young woman's education, of the 18th century.
The Quackenbush family emigrated from Holland in the 17th century and the family roots are still firmly planted from New York City to upstate in the Albany area.
This colorful embroidery is in excellent condition with a couple of very minor areas of thread loss. The back and binding are of the same vibrant green wool. The fan measures 10.75-inches by 15.5-inches.

American Flint Glass
Cut Glass Decanter and Wines
Circa 1825-1840
The decanter is blown; has cut decoration and a mushroom stopper. The four flint wine glasses are blown and have applied baluster stems; cut decoration. The decanter and one glass have potstones. No chips or cracks. The decanter is approximately 10-inches high; wines are approximately 4-inches high.

A lovely mahogany card table, probably Salem, the rectangular hinged top with elliptic front and square corners having inlayed edge, above the conforming apron with three panel facade and inlayed edge; centering the apron is a boldly figured oval set within a conforming frame flanked by figured panels within mitered mahogany banding above a border of inlay with conforming inlaid ends raised on pointed double taper string inlayed legs with inlaid cuffs, headed by rectangular figured panels. (Height: 29.5-inches; depth: 17.5-inches; width: 35.75-inches.)
