Student Candle Lamp With Punch-Decorated Shade - SOLD

A fine and early example featuring an adjustable candle socket and shade mounted on square iron shaft; shaft with gilded brass ring is secured to a weighted circular tin base. Remarkably complete and unaltered with original candlesnuffer attached. There are losses to asphaltum and the gilt has faded; otherwise this lamp remains in fine condition and stands 19 inches tall with a base diameter of 6.5 inches.
