In very old black paint over original green; dry surface with good patina, constructed of mixed words, the rounded crest rail with six spindles above the medial rail with flat out-swept shaped handholds above turned arm-supports above shaped plank seat having exaggerated shaped pontil. The carved and shaped seat is raised on turned splayed legs joined by the swelled "H" stretcher. This example enjoys generous proportions and is accommodating and comfortable. (Height: 38 inches; seat height: 18 inches; width: 24.5 inches; depth: 15.25 inches.)
