Expertly made woven silk child's dress from the 2nd quarter of the 19th century.
Some of the nicer details are hand sewn scalloped and embroidered neckine, scalloped tiered cap sleeves, all the original covered buttons remain.

Wonderful early 19th century linen knit child's stockings with embroidered blue clocks, a decorative element embroidered on either side of the ankle. A family note stating Silence knit the stockings accompanies same.

The stylish turned finals above posts centering slats above a very old rush seat raised on tapered legs joined by box-stretcher. Fantastic apple green paint; pegged construction. (Height: 18 inches; seat height: 6.5 inches; width: 10.5 inches; depth: 8.5 inches.)
Embroidered Apron - SOLD
Early 19th Century embroidered child's apron. White cotton mull is embroidered in a traditional American pattern. The assumption is that is finely embroidered piece is an apron but it may have started life as part of an early dress.
Dimensions: 13-inches long.

Blue striped silk front boy's vest with homespun linen back. All hand sewn with ages old stain on this early gem.

Pair of Ladies Watercolor and Ink Fireplace Fans Circa 1820 - SOLD
Hand painted ladies fans used for cooling themselves as they would sit by the fireplace. This pair of fans is representative of many areas of schoolgirl art watercolor paintings, penmanship, literature and music.
Made of gold foil bordered paper with turned and incised wood handles.

Doll Or Child's Chest
First half-19th century...
Pine - SOLD
Side-by-side glove drawers surmounted by scrolled backboard above a projecting case of three long drawers raised on carved octagonal feet; feet swell and taper and are analogous extensions of the stiles. The drawers are dovetailed with drawer fronts being painted and having turned wooden knobs; case in a red resin stain. Secondary wood on lower drawer restored, otherwise all else fine and original. (Height: 23.5 inches; width: 21.75 inches; depth: 12.5 inches.)
