And alarm gun...
Blade Marked Tresche

Having a spring blade and 4-piece stag grips with detachable rammer. Very small caliber, the extractor is still present. The spring blade still functions. It has the awl trigger which is designed to be used in a hotel room door as an alarm gun. This is a very scarce knife pistol.

The marking is double struck and slanted so that the left end is unreadable.
Serial number 978, barrel and extractor are 01 (believed to be factory intentional). Factory engraved brass frame, wood grips.

This example, .41-caliber rim-fire has the rare short barrel which is 2-inches long. It is unusual that a National should be found with a large quantity of original finish such as this one has.

5th Variation, Patriotic Motif
Engraved With American Eagle
Full Silver Plated Frame
Very Few Made!
.41 Caliber, Serial Number 4105.
Decorative broad scroll engraved

A first model with Moore's Brooklyn mark on barrel flat featuring a beautifully engraved eagle and American shield on the back strap along with other deluxe engraving. The frame retains about 100% silver; barrel is a smooth smoky gray; tight action. The few extant examples are in serial number range 3750 to 4339. It is thought that they were made circa 1864-1865 and were presented at the close of the Civil War to United States Military Officers.

This .41 caliber rim-fire is side marked retains extractor and is factory engraved; pearl grips, no finish but very fancy. There was only 400-500 of these made, with best quality engraving. In the long production of these guns, this example is considered the third variation of the first marking type, and is the first one to appear with an extractor. These are quite rare.

Short barrel, high hammer, silver finish, engraved. Pearl grips. Serial number 6171. The frame retains 95% silver but looks better, cylinder has 2%, and barrel has 75-80%. The engraving is SPECTACULAR - The best ever seen on an Old Model 22, looks like the work of Nimschke.
